With over 25 years of executive benefit, retirement plan and private wealth advisory experience; Gary formed The Cowles Group embracing the ideals of independence, experience and a commitment to service. Previously, Gary was one of the founding principals of Bay Colony Partners and served as Managing Partner of the firm’s executive benefits and private wealth practices. Prior to the formation of Bay Colony Partners, Gary held executive-level positions with a large advisory consulting firm, John Hancock, and Scudder, Stevens & Clark.
Gary received his undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and performed graduate studies in taxation at Bentley College. He obtained the Chartered Life Underwriter®(CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designations from the American College. Gary is also a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting in Washington, D.C. and the Society of Financial Services Professionals.
David has more than 20 years of experience as a senior management professional for large executive benefits and retirement firms in the financial services/products arena. He began his career in 1988 with a large New England Life agency, and his focus has been on the practice operations and plan administration of executive benefit plans.
David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Westfield State University. He also received a Project Management certification from Northeastern University.
