Gary Cowles
Gary M. Cowles ChFC, CLU, CDFA is a leading and well recognized Financial Educator, Speaker, Wealth Strategist and Retirement Income Planner. As founder of The Cowles Group, Gary and his team have been helping successful professionals, business owners, high net worth families and those navigating financial transition (i.e. divorce or loss of a loved one) to manage, preserve and pass on their wealth for over 30 years. The Cowles Group was established based on the ideals of independence, integrity and insight. The independence to plan and invest with purpose not product, the integrity to always act in the best interest of the client and the insight to provide customized strategies not pre-packaged plans. Gary received a BA in Mathematics from The University of New Hampshire and has obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC ®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU ®) designations conveyed by The American College, an accredited college for financial services education evolved out of the University of Pennsylvania's internationally admired Wharton School of Business. Additionally, Gary has achieved the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) designation, a specialized educational program in professional divorce analysis awarded by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA). Prior to forming The Cowles Group, Gary was one of the founding principals of Bay Colony Partners and served as Managing Partner of the firm’s executive benefits and private wealth practices, he has also held executive-level positions with Captrust and John Hancock.
David Pratt
David has more than 20 years of experience as a senior management professional for large executive benefits and retirement firms in the financial services/products arena. He began his career in 1988 with a large New England Life agency, and his focus has been on the practice operations and plan administration of executive benefit plans.
David has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Westfield State University. He also received a Project Management certification from Northeastern University.
